R.Padilla files bills which will make Divorce, medical marijuana legal in PH

 


2022 national elections top 1 senator Robin Padilla has made his priority bills known to the public.

Law on legalizing divorce and marijuana for medical use in the country are among the 10 bills to be pursued by new senator in the 19th Congress.

The senator’s list of pet bills also includes proposed suspension of excise tax on fuel, mandatory ROTC in schools, and magna carta of barangay health workers.

“Naihain na po natin ang unang 10 prayoridad na panukalang batas sa Senado para sa ika-19 na Kongreso. Simula pa lamang po ito,” Padilla wrote on Facebook.

“Tututukan, aaralin at isusulong natin ang mga adbokasiya na tutugon sa samu’t saring isyu na malapit sa ating bituka – kasama rito ang mataas na presyo ng petrolyo, mga problema sa agrikultura at food security, at talamak na diskriminasyon,” he said.

“Tuloy po ang ating pagsisigasig sa Senado bilang tugon sa mandato at tiwala ng sambayanang Pilipino!”

Padilla’s pet bills are the following:

1.The Equal Use of Languages Act

2.Suspension of Excise  Tax on fuel

3.Medical Cannabis Compassionate Access Act

4.Magna Carta of Barangay Health Workers

5. Amending the Rice Tariffication Law

6.Equality and Non-Discrimination Act

7.Civil Service Eligibility for casual and contractual government employees who have rendered at least 5  years of government service

8. Regionalization of Bilibid Prisons

9. Mandatory Reserve Officer’s Training Corps Act

10. Divorce Act of the Philippines
