Vice President-elect Sara Duterte on
Sunday took her oath as the 15th Vice President of the Philippines.
Supreme Court Associate Justice Ramon
Paul Hernando administered the oath in a ceremony held at the San Pedro Square
in Davao City.

Duterte’s mother, Elizabeth
Zimmerman, held the Bible during her inauguration while her father President
Rodrigo Duterte witnessed the event close by.
President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,
former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, House Majority Leader Ferdinand
Martin Romualdez, who is poised to be the next Speaker, and a number of
officials and former officials attended the event.
Duterte was picked by Marcos as his
Education secretary and promised to produce skilled learners.
In an earlier interview, Duterte
vowed to look into the possibility of returning to full face-to-face classes.
