PRRD confers Order of Lakandula, with the rank “Bayani” to DOTr Sec. Art Tugade

 

This is an award that is truly well deserved.

 

Outgoing President Rodrigo Roa Duterte conferred to his friend and classmate Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Art Tugade the Order of Lakandula, with the rank “Bayani” (Grand Cross), for his invaluable contribution in the realization of the country’s Build Build Build Program.

The Order of Lakandula is a Presidential Award deemed as one of the highest civilian orders of the Philippines. It is awarded to rightful individuals who displayed dedication to the responsibilities of leadership, prudence, fortitude, courage and resolve in the service of the Filipino people.

Sec Art’s statement re the award

 

 

My heart is filled with gratitude, and I am most honored sa ating mahal na Pangulo Rodrigo Roa Duterte sa paggawad sa akin ng parangal na Order of Lakandula with the rank “Bayani” (Grand Cross) sa Malacañang kahapon.

 

Isang karangalan na mabigyan po ng ganitong kalaking pagkilala ngunit hindi ko po magagawa at maisasakatuparan ang mga proyekto, programa at inisyatibo sa Kagawaran ng Transportasyon kung wala ang suporta at pagtitiwala sa akin ng ating mahal na Pangulong Duterte at dahil din sa mga ahensya, empleyado, rank and file na nakiisa at tumulong sa ating tungkuling maisaayos ang pampublikong transportasyon sa bansa.

 

Sa aking mga kasamahan sa Department of Transportation (DOTr), I stand with you with pride and honor, because in the past six years, we have been able to accomplish so much because of your help – taos puso akong nagpapasalamat sa inyong lahat!

 

Aking ibinabahagi din ang pagkilala na ito sa ating mga kababayan. Ang mga proyekto at programang aming ginagawa at inihahandog ng gobyerno ay para sa inyo – mahal kong mga kababayan, because you all serve as my inspiration to do and be more, and to act more as a public servant.

 

No pandemic or disasters can stop us to deliver our projects and services to the Filipino people. We will continue up to the last day to deliver a more convenient and comfortable life for every Filipino. This is the legacy I want to leave behind.
