BBM picks Enrile as next Presidential Legal Counsel

 

President-elect Bongbong Marcos made the same decision his late father, former President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. did- mae Juan Ponce Enrile part of his administration.

 

As announced Marcos picked former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile as his Presidential Legal Counsel, his office announced on Friday, 17 June.

Enrile, 98, actively campaigned for Marcos and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte during the 2022 elections.

Upon his acceptance to the Marcos’ offer for the post, Enrile reaffirmed his commitment to serve the country and ensure the success of the incoming administration.

 

“I will devote my time and knowledge for the republic and for BBM because I want him to succeed,” Enrile said as quoted by a press statement released by Marcos’s camp.
