Veteran journalist and broadcaster
Jay Sonza slams current Vice President Leni Robredo and presidential aspirant
for her hypocrisy regarding her camp’s advertising spending.
Month’s before the VP Leni has been
quoted a lot of ties saying that her camp does not have the resources to mount
a full presidential campaign in this 2022 national elections.
The recently released Facebook
advertising expenditures shows as per the review of the social media platform’s
Ad Library showed, VP Robredo, the opposition bet for president, spent P14.1
million on the platform from Aug. 4, 2020, when the transparency tool was
activated, until Dec. 31, 2021.
“We have to maximize our online
presence. The fact of the matter is we really have a lot of ground to make up
for,” lawyer Barry Gutierrez, Robredo’s spokesperson, told the Philippine
Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ) in a phone interview.
Gutierrez said
the ads were paid for by volunteers who had coordinated with the campaign team
to either boost the official posts of the vice president or produce original
materials to promote her candidacy.
“The campaign
itself has not actually spent anything on ads. [They] were actually paid for by
volunteer groups,” he said.

CONGRATULATIONS!
No. 1 na si Vice Pres. Maria Leonor
Gerona Robredo!
Palagay ko wala ng magrereklamo sa
mga Kakampink dito sa balitang ito.
The numbers are correct and facts are
checked.
Hindi ito fake news.
Mathematics and Statistics are
perfect science because given numbers don't lie and will never lie.
Nanguna si presidential aspirant at
Under the law, an independent
candidate cannot spend more P600Million.
That candidate is not also entitled
to a watcher in all election activities.
Ms. Robredo is a self-declared
independent candidate.
