There will be no bailwick or hometown for presidential aspirant Vice
President Leni Robredo this coming national elections.
The camp of former senator Bongbong Marcos Jr., just made public that at
least 11 mayors in Camarines Sur have expressed support for his presidential
bid.
During a
private meeting with Marcos on Monday, the mayors reportedly urged him to solve
the decades-long insurgency problem in the province if he wins the presidential
race.

Narvacan,
Ilocos Sur Mayor Luis "Chavit" Singson, League of Municipalities of
the Philippines president, who was also present at the event, claimed that the
mayors vowed to fully support Marcos' presidential bid.
The town
mayors who were at the meeting included Fermin Mabulo (San Fernando), Migay
Ibasco (Bula), Tom Bocago (Sipocot), and Melanie Abarientos (Del Gallego).
Also with them
were town mayors Weny Sabalbero (Cabusao), Nelson Legaspi (Canaman), Anthony
Reyes (Milaor), Ed Severo (Calabanga), Chris Lizardo (Minalabac), Leonardo Agos
(Gainza) and Boy Franco (Pamplona).
Camarines Sur has been known as the bailwick of Vice President Leni
Robredo.
Solve the decades long insurgency
Singson, in a statement, said Marcos asked the mayors how he could help
them. Their immediate reply was for Marcos to solve the insurgency problem or
the presence of the New People's Army (NPA) in their respective areas.
The mayors
made the appeal as they expressed concern that the rebels will make use of the
election period to sow fear in the public and extort money from politicians,
Singson added.
Singson said
said Marcos has assured them that he intends to fully support the National Task
Force to End Local Communist (NTF-Elcac) to end the country's insurgency
problem.
