If the surveys would be a reliable yardstick for
the 2022 national elections, then Manila Mayor Isko Moreno’s aspirations will go
for naught.
Much needed support seems to be further eroding
and it is not translating to the numbers that would show in the surveys. What
is evident is that the position number 1 is being strongly projected by former
senator Bongbong Marcos, Jr.
Isko Moreno is currently fourth place with a six
percent voter preference

The SWS survey
commissioned by one Alex Irasga placed Moreno behind the frontrunner, Ferdinand
Marcos Jr., Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Manny Pacquiao.
Marcos had a voter
preference rating of 51 percent, while Robredo got 14 percent. Pacquiao was in
third place with 12 percent.
Senator Panfilo Lacson
was behind Moreno with a five percent voter preference rating, while labor
leader Leody De Guzman, former Foreign Affairs Secretary Ernesto Abella and
former Defense Secretary Norberto Gonzales received less than one percent
rating each.
SWS said retired
general Antonio Parlade was also included in the list of presidential
candidates for the survey but he wasn’t chosen by any of the respondents.
The commissioned poll
was conducted between December 12 to 16, 2021.
