It is always a risk!
A different gargantuan challenge was presented to all businessmen this pandemic
brought, but this is one for the books a pandemic success story.
Janthrie Valencia from Bataan took the challenge and made his dream an
operational, profitable and viable business model amidst all the different
problems this trying times bring.

He has now a successful foo truck owner, it started from the idea that
they need something that can make ends meet.
Even when he was young his inclination has always been related to the
food business, so it was not a hard choice that led him and his partner in
selling chicken and burgers.
However, challenges still hounded them from finding the right location
for their business or the rent was too high or the location wasn’t what they
wanted. Janthrie soon realized that building a food truck could be the answer
to their needs.
A food truck brings a plus for the business - a cost-effective and it also allows them
access to more locations.
With the help of a neighbor and a cousin, Janthrie started building
their food truck out of an old multicab. He said he was thankful that
everything just fell into place for his dream. He shared with Business News
Philippines, “So, nakakatuwa kasi umaayon lahat ng bagay that time. Doon pa
lang answered prayer na kami ng partner ko.”
Of course, aside from creating an attractive food truck, they also
focused on coming up with a good menu. Janthrie and his partner created their
own sauces and tested their own recipes to make sure customers would love it.
Soon, Eat and Roll Food Truck opened and their first day was beyond their expectations. According to Janthrie, he and his partner prepared 100 burger patties expecting it to be sold in a week. However, they were able to sell it all in just a day. Their success continued on as they were sold out for several days more.
Janthrie is very thankful that their idea was a hit eventhough a lot
doubted their plans from the start.
He said, “Pero hindi ko pinansin ang mga yun, ginamit ko pa yung mga
sinasabi nila para patunayan na kaya namin yun at hindi masasayang yung effort
namin.” In the end, Janthrie encourages other aspiring entrepreneurs to believe
in their dreams and continue working hard to pursue it.
“Kung may pangarap ka pagsikapan mo para makamit mo, wag mo din
kakalimutan magdasal at magpasalamat sa itaas kasi siya lang ang kakampi mo sa
lahat ng bagay at oras. Hayaan mo yung mga sinasabi ng ibang tao basta ikaw sa
sarili mo alam mo wala ka tinatapakan na tao,” he added.
