Bayan Muna's Zarate: Granting of ABS-CBN frequencies to Villars payback from Duterte

Left leaning Bayan Muna representative Carlos Zarate has a different take on what happened to the frequencies once held by the Lopez owned ABS-CBN that was recently acquired by the company owned by real estate magnate and former senator Manny Villar, he calls it as  “an apparent payback of Pres. Duterte to his allies.”

“Just like what his idol, the dictator Marcos did during his time, this last two minute crony payback further exposes the lie of the Duterte administration that it is against oligarchy. The truth is, Pres. Duterte has his own favored oligarchs,” said Zarate in a statement.

Zarate made the statement after the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) granted Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc. (AMBS) a provisional authority to operate and maintain a digital television broadcasting system in Metro Manila and Mega Manila using Channel 16.

After the technical evaluation, the NTC assigned the frequency for channel 2, the paired analog channel in Mega Manila of digital channel 16, to AMBS. The NTC said that the temporary assignment of channel 2 is for simulcast purposes only and only until the analog shut-off scheduled in 2023.

Zarate said the grant of the ABS-CBN frequencies to the Villars few months before the election and with the family whose members are running for different electoral positions “may even be perceived as giving them undue advantage over their opponents.”

“While this move clearly benefits the Dutertes and the Villars, as well as their allies like the Marcoses, this is detrimental to the Filipino people. We must be very wary and vigilant in guarding against more midnight schemes and deals of the Duterte administration,” Zarate added.

Alam mo ba?

Negosyo ang solusyon sa kahirapan.

Nasa middle class kung ganito daw kita mo monthly sabi ng NEDA:

P43,828 - P76,669

Ang siste,

If Pamilyado ka na with kids, tapos utilities , daily and unexpected expenses, you can quickly tell why you're probably short every month.

And yet, ang karamihan sabi syo..."Mag ipon ka" or minsan pa nga "Wala ka pang ipon"

Mind you, pandemya pa ngaun!

Aminin mo na...

Pagkulang ang sweldo, there are no "ipon tips" that can help you, kapatid.

Nakagawa ka na din ba ng Budget plan pero d mo naman nasunod?

Well, pag Tigang na, wala ka ng mapipiga, tama?

Instead, you need another source o multiply your income.

Sa karamihan, meron lang two options:

1) Get another job.

2) Start a side business.

Do you want to achieve "RICH" level na according to the government.

A business na pwedeng sa bahay lang while super safe ka at naka online ka lang habang naka pambahay.

Usap tayo...
