Vice president Leni Robredo made a big denial that her relief
operations for those affected by typhoon Odette were part of her political
strategy in winning the much coveted seat in Malacanag.
"We
have been doing relief operations in the many provinces devastated by Typhoon
Odette. I only got to learn that we were being accused of doing it only because
of the upcoming elections. Siyempre, hindi ito totoo. May eleksiyon o wala,
'andyan tayo pag may sakuna (Of course this is not true. We have been helping
victims of calamities, regardless of whether there's an election or not)",
she posted on Facebook.
The
posts included pictures of her visits to areas affected by previous typhoons
and other disasters.

"Different people have been posting our previous relief operations, but
this is the most comprehensive to date. Sharing this to pay tribute to our
teams who have missed
holidays, weekends, important personal events just to fulfill our
mission. Until now, our teams are still on the ground doing relief
operations," Robredo said.
The Vice President thanked
"all our donors and local partners for helping us every step of the
way."
"All pre-2016 pictures
were pre-OVP [Office of the Vice President]. Not included here are the relief
operations we have been conducting everytime there is a fire in Metro Manila.
Not included here also are our Covid response operations," Robredo said.
