President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s daughter Davao
Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio has made her move in joining the upcoming
national elections as she joins the once ruling Lakas-CMD party.
Pending her official announcement of her bid for
Malacanang, the political party has promised full support for her.
Current chairman of Lakas party Senator
Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., , welcomed Mayor Sara to the group and promised to
work towards her success in whatever position she runs for.

After quitting Hugpong ng Pagbabago
regional party, the President’s daughter took her oath as member of Lakas
party, fueling rumors of a potential presidential run. The oath-taking took
place in Cavite where she was attending the wedding of Revilla’s daughter. It
was made prior to the November 15 deadline of substitution of candidates.
“We are more than honored that Mayor
Sara chose LAKAS as her national party,” Revilla said on Facebook.
