Fundraising for Leni: 1Sambayan holding ‘Zoom dinner’ for P25,000 per head

Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo is making her move in making her war chest bigger for the upcoming battles ahead of the 2022 national elections.

It was reported that 1Sambayan plans to conduct a ZOOM dinner for its supporters who are willing to shell out P25,000.

The opposition coalition will hold a fundraising dinner via Zoom on November 16 for Robredo, titled “Kakaibang Gabi with Leni.”

Former Cabinet Secretary Rigoberto Tiglao shared on Facebook the supposed menu for the dinner, which will be cooked by one Chef Jessie.

For a reported P25,000 contribution, supporters will have the following delivered to their homes: ciabatta bread, rolls, butter and a special dip; Pasta ala Leni ‘with basil sprig;’ Kiko’s green salad with Caesar salad and condiments; Pink sea bass with pan-fried goose liver, and a special chocolate mousse for dessert.

Even Tiglao, who’s used to hobnobbing with politikos and businessmen, was floored by the supposed P25,000 price tag for the dinner.

“Iba mag fund raising itong si Amboy del Rosario a. For Leni daw P25,000 lang daw per head, idedeliver sa bahay niyo dinner nitong chef chef na ito,” he said, referring to 1Sambayan co-convenor and former Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario.
