Legacy is something one should leave the earth which is of big help to his fellow mankind.

The Duterte administration is not all the drug war the opposition wants you to know.

As per the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was able to built over a million houses since the start of his administration, which translates to making him the housing king of all Philippine presidents since 1975.

DHSUD Secretary Eduardo del Rosario said Duterte has built an average of 195,687 low-cost housing units a year since 2016 which is 12 percent more than the 174,000 annual production during the term of the late Noynoy Aquino.

Del Rosario said the Duterte administration has built and bankrolled a total of 1.076 million housing units from June 2016 to June 2021 with 98 percent for socialized housing (P580,000 ceiling) and two percent for low-cost buyers (P1.7 million ceiling).

He said the administration was on track of hitting its target of 1.2 million housing units by June 2022.

“I would like to emphasize that during this administration, wala po tayong maririnig na substandard housing project because we committed ourselves, the whole housing sector, to ensure that there will be no substandard housing during our administration,” said del Rosario in a Malacanang briefing.

Here is the breakdown of how many houses were built by each president since 1975:

1) Ferdinand Marcos annual average of 13,576 units

2) Corazon Aquino annual average of 59,948 units

3) Fidel V. Ramos annual average of 147,000 units
