Will the former president’s
namesake run for a position in Malacanang or a set in the Senate?
As the political landscape is so volatile,
senator Imee Marcos has said that his brother Bongbong Marcos is keeping all
his options open as he continues to talk with prospective running mates ahed of
the national elections in 2022.
She said Bongbong is still
considering a run for president in 2022 but he is not ruling out the
possibility of sliding down to become the vice presidential candidate of Davao
Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Asked in an ANC
interview if her brother was no longer considering a presidential run, Marcos
said that was not the case.
“No, it’s not. For all
intents and purposes, he has his own set-up, and he is running for President at
the present time, but not officially declared. But he’s walking around with the
possibility of a top spot,” she said.
But Marcos said
Bongbong, who was defeated in the vice presidential race in 2016, was keeping
his options open.
“Well, my brother is a
fairly easygoing fellow and I believe that he is happy to talk to everyone. Right
now, people are saying that he should run for the Presidency, others the Vice
Presidency,” she said.
