“Hindi ako DDS. Hindi ako Dilawan" - Ping Lacson

 

Presidential aspirant Panfilo Lacson is shunning away from being branded most especially for the upcoming national elections in 2022.

If given the leeway he would prefer to be referred as “pro-Filipino” over being squarely linked to the administration or opposition bloc.

He is of the opinion that being pro-Filipino is also crucial for any united front in the 2022 elections.

“Hindi ako DDS. Hindi ako Dilawan. Kung gusto natin ng unification, PRO FILIPINO dapat tayo,” Ping wrote on Facebook.

Lacson made the statement after explaining his offer to VP Leni Robredo the “unification formula” for the 2022 elections. Robredo reportedly rejected Lacson’s unity plan during a recent meeting.

Lacson said his offer was actually “a selfless move” since Robredo was seeking a united opposition/front in 2022.

“After all, it was her objective for liaising with different forces or candidates including Mayor Isko Moreno, Sen. Manny Pacquiao, Sen. Richard Gordon, among others,” he said.

Still, Lacson respects Robredo’s decision to reject the unity plan.

“I admit that while there could be some complications attendant to my suggestion, nevertheless, it was a sincere and selfless offer in support of her equally sincere efforts to have one common candidate against whoever will be the administration’s bet,” he said.
