You want the Lopez owned ABS-CBN back on Philippine
airwaves?, then you should register to vote.
This is the call of the re-electionist Liberal
Party president Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, calling for voters registration in
order to rally support for a new franchise for the ABS-CBN.
He calls how the House of Representatives legislative
franchise committee denied the issuance of a new franchise, Pangilinan reminded
the public on the importance of
elections “as we look back in the past year without the ABS-CBN as we know it.”

“The decision came in the middle of a
global pandemic where two things are of utmost importance: information and
jobs,” Pangilinan said.
“Many areas in the country went quiet
and without easily accessible information just to satisfy the whims of the few.
The people of ABS-CBN lost the latter right when job security and their jobs
are crucial,” he said.
“But thankfully, ABS-CBN remains
undaunted,” he added.
:Just as ABS-CBN continues to deliver
news despite these many setbacks, we remain tireless in calling for the
granting of a new franchise. But there is also another solution: by making sure
we put the right people in power come 2022,” Pangilinan said.
“Let us register to vote and elect
leaders who will make decisions not for personal and political gain, but
because it is the will of their constituents. Because it is the right thing to
do,” he said.
