Lucy Torres acknowledges the efforts of PRRD in Ormoc : "Thank you, Mr. President"

 

Leyte 4th district Representative Lucy Torres-Gomez has always been a voice of reason and known as beauty and brains by the way she conducts her life as a public servant.

She has voiced her support for the highly controversial Anti-Terrorism Law and is publicly known to be a supporter of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) at a time a lot of her colleagues in Congress have been calling for its total abolition.

In terms of her politics, in a recent Facebook post, she thanked President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s anti-drug policy as she narrates the beneficial changes that it brought the residents of Ormoc.

From being the drug capital of Region 8 now ,Ormoc is hailed as the safest city in the entire Philippines.

You can attack him, say whatever you want, accuse him of failures- but there will always be one lifechanging thing that he has done for the City of Ormoc. Before Richard’s term, Ormoc was the drug capital of region 8. If President Duterte was not President, and Richard was not mayor, our drug problem would still have persisted until today. now, every Orocanon enjoys the privileges of living in the country’s safest city. We all dramatically witnessed the economic turnaround that came with peace and order. Business confidence is restored which means more jobs and better family incomes.
