The deployment of the ship and other Philippine Navy’s (PN) floating assets in the Western Command Joint Area of Operation (JAO) is in line with the directive of the Department of National Defense and the Armed Forces of the Philippines leadership to intensify the conduct of sovereignty patrols in order to protect our local fishermen, preserve the marine environment, and secure our national interest.

WESMINCOM through Naval Forces West will continue to perform mandated tasks in support to national policy and strategy in protecting what rightfully belongs to the Philippines.
