The Philippines Navy’s (PN) BRP Gregorio Del Pilar (PS15),the
lead ship of its class, will finally be operational this coming 3rd
quarter of the year, as announced by the Offshore Combat Force.
It may be recalled that in 2018 the BRP Gregorio Del Pilar
ran aground in Hasa-Hasa Shoal in the province of Palawan.

“Presently, she is continuing all necessary port side repairs
while waiting for her refit,” rt to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief
(HADR) operations,” the Offshore Combat Force said.
“She is expected to be operational by the 3rd Quarter of this
year and continue her mission to conduct maritime security patrol, internal
security operations, naval gunfire support, search and rescue, and support to
humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations,” it added.
