Duterte tells Opposition: If you want me to die, pray harder

The Philippine President has always been known to never back down most especially to those who considers him their political nemesis.

In the recent publicly televised broadcast of his address to the nation, he has some advice to his critics and that is to pray harder if they want him to die already. He reiterates that he would have been out of office already if he was not good at his job as head of the state.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte made the statement after the #NasaanAngPangulo was once again floated in media, this with criticisms against him that he is not on top of the situation as the country is facing this COVID-19 pandemic.

‘If you want me to die early, you must pray harder,” he said.

“Actually what you intend or what you would like to happen is to see me go. You want me to go and you are praying for that,” he added.

Duterte said he would have been ousted from the presidency already if he was not good at his job.

“Tatagal kaya ako — ito prangkahan tayo — tatagal kaya ako dito sa p***** i**** puwesto na ito kung inutil ako (Let’s be frank: Would I have lasted long in this position if I’m inutile)?” he asked.

“Will the military allow me to govern na ganoon pamamalakad mo, wala kang ginawa (if I’m not doing anything)?” he added.
