Isang UP lawyer sinopla si VP Leni sa pagpuna nito sa posisyon ni PRRD patungkol sa ABS-CBN franchise renewal

 

 

Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo is making news again because of her constant criticism as against President Rodrigo Roa Duterte when the latter announced that he is against the granting of a new franchise for the company owned and controlled ABS-CBN Corporation, unless it has settled all its tax labilities.

“Congress is planning to restore the franchise of the Lopezes, wala akong problema doon, kung i-restore ninyo, but if you say they can operate, I will not allow it,” Duterte said during his weekly public address. “I will not allow the NTC to grant them the permit to operate. I will not give them the license to operate. Kalokohan ‘yan,”

VP Leni made a saying that the statement of the President is confusing and different from the previous  statement made by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque that he is “hands off” on the ABS-CBN franchise renewal issue.

This did not sit well with University of the Philippines educated lawyerAtty. Nick Atty. Nick Nañgit, as he slammed and schooled the Vice President at the same time. 

He said in his Facebook post that : “Ang ibig sabihin ng "hands off" ay ibang departamento ng pamahalaan. Legislative branch ang tawag diyan. Sila yung gumagawa ng batas at, sa case ng katol, yung magpapasya kung ipapasa ang anumang panukalang batas na magbibigay ng prangkisa rito.

Naturalmente, nasa Saligang Batas na ang Pangulo ay ang Executive branch. Ibang departamento siya ng pamahalaan. Siya ang magpapatupad ng batas. Hindi siya kasama sa mga pagdinig sa Kongreso, G@G@! “

Kahit bigyan pa ng Kongreso ng bagong prangkisa ang katol, kung hindi naman ito susunod sa mga alituntunin na ipinapatupad ng kinauukulang tanggapan sa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ng Pangulo o kaya'y lalabag ito sa mga alituntuning yan, ay wala ring silbi ang prangkisa.

Anong gusto mong mangyari? Huwag niyang ipatupad ang batas?

 

Madumb, may Administrative Code, Tax Code, Labor Code, atbp. na kailangan niyang ipatupad. Sinumpaan niya yan sa ilalim ng Saligang Batas!

Hindi pangingialam ang katungkulan ng Pangulo na ipatupad lamang ang batas.

 

Ang pangingialam ay yung pagputak ng bunganga mong PÜN YET A, gayung dapat ay tambay ka lang at hindi laging puna ng puna, pero sablay naman parati!
