The modernization of the
country's Philippine NAtional Police (PNP) continues.
As reported in the Philippine National
Police (PNP) Facebook page the police organization acquired P1.2-B worth of
equipment for their transportation needs, weapons and much needed communication
equipments.
Under their own modernization program under the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030,accepted its new equipment today more than a week after conducting another acceptance ceremony for another batch of equipment.

The new equipment involved the following:
• 11 units Shuttle Buses,
• 22 units High-Speed Tactical
Watercraft - these were built by Dynacast Shipbuilding in Cebu which MaxDefense
featured last month;
• 355 units Toyota Hilux Single Cab
4x2,
• 5,767 units Galil Ace 22N 5.56mm
Basic Assault Rifle and
• 214 units Thales AN/PRC-148 VHF
Lowband Handheld Radio.
According to the PNP, the 11 buses will be
distributed to Police Regional Offices, while the 22 high speed tactical
watercrafts will be issued to the PNP Maritime Group and the PNP Special Action
Force.

The 355 units of Toyota Hilux Single Cab 4x2 will
be immediately distributed to different municipal police stations across the
country.
For
the 5,767 units Galil Ace 22N 5.56mm Basic Assault Rifle will be
distributed to the
Police
Mobile Forces and the Communications and Electronics Service will be
receiving the 214 units VHF Lowband Handheld Radio,
