They are considered the ones who kill the enemies of the State so the rest of the Filipino people can sleep quietly at night.

But this time they are not in the jungles pursuing the enemy but in the flood prone areas helping everyone from the youngest, oldest and even our trusted pets stranded in the flood caused by the typhoon Ulysses.

“The deployed HADR teams are working in tandem with NDRRMO Rizal and Marikina to evacuate stranded people to safe places. More or less 50 families were rescued and are now secured in the designated rescue centers,” the Philippine Marines said.

Three Amphibious Assault Vehicles (AAVs) from the Marines were deployed last November 12 for rescue operations in Rizal, along with two disaster relief and response teams (DRRT) from Fleet-Marine Ready Force.

“The teams made coordination with the officer-in-charge of the Incident Command and Management Center in Montalban Rodriguez Municipal Hall prior to their deployment to affected barangays,” the Philippine Navy said

“Primarily used in combat operations by PMC, AAVs are also useful during the conduct of humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations. Each AAV can accommodate up to twenty passengers and can maneuver through deep water or flood in this instance,” the Philippine Navy noted.
