The war of the
government against terrorists knows no pandemic whatsoever in its quest to
achieve peace in the country’s largest island in Mindanao.
News came out that the
Armed Forces of the Philippines has reported the killing of 7 Abu Sayyaf Group
(ASG) kidnappers, November 3, in open waters of Sulu sea near Sulare Island,
Parang, Sulu.

According to the AFP
said the ASG kidnappers were aboard a twin engine speed boat. The military
operation involved an Air Force AW-109 armed helicopter and Navy MPAC.
“JTF- Sulu Commander
MGen William N Gonzales orchestrated the joint operations utilizing the Augusta
Attack Helicopter of the Philippine Air Force and the Multi Purpose Attack
Craft (MPAC) of the Philippine Navy with the Scout Rangers and Special Forces
on board,” AFP said
“Reportedly killed
were Madsmar Sawadjaan (brother of infamous bomber Mundi Sawadjaan), Mannul
Sawadjaan @Abu Amara (declared to replace deceased ASG senior leader Hajan
Sawadjaan as emir), and five (5) other yet to be identified. Retrieval
operations of the sank speed boat and cadavers of ASG member are currently
ongoing,” it added.
