PH Air Force welcomes ground assets, newly recovered UH-1H,& 6 brand new Tucanos


The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is doing what they have in order to perform their mandate.

Last October 13, the PAF conducted a blessing ceremony of ground vehicles composed of two buses, two fire trucks, 50 KM-250 trucks, and one newly recovered UH-1H helicopter with tail Nr 504 at Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City in Pampanga.

The event was graced by PAF commanding general Lieutenant General Allen T. Paredes.

PAF said the ground vehicles will be distributed among Air Base Groups, Tactical Operations Groups and other PAF Units to boost its current support capability and to further increase the equipment readiness of the PAF.

“Meanwhile, the recovered UH-1H helicopter with tail Nr 504 will augment the current air mobility assets of the Command to perform various missions in support to National Security and Development,” PAF added.

Tucano’s Acceptance ceremony

In the same day Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin N Lorenzana as Guest of Honor, led the simple Acceptance, Turn-over, and Blessing Ceremony of the six (6) Super Tucano Close Air Support aircraft which was held at Haribon Hangar, Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City in Pampanga

Embraer’s Super Tucanos capable of day and night fighting (Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground Missions), non-precision and precision guided air munitions, close air support, light attack, surveillance, and counterinsurgency missions.
