Opposition political personality
and former Magdalo senator Antonio
Trillanes IV seems to know something that will happen advance that of other
mere mortals like us.
He is confident ABS-CBN
will be granted a franchise after the Duterte administration ends, and IF the
opposition’s candidates becomes the next president.
The Magdalo stalwart
made the prediction last Saturday (August 30), a day after a number of the Lopez
controlled ABS-CBN Corporation employees have been retrenched.

It was earlier announced
by the big bosses of the ABS-CBN that they will retrench employees who are part
of there current workforce by the end of the month of August.
“Mark my words,
ABSCBN’s franchise would be granted once the opposition wins in 2022,” the
former senator tweeted.

Trillanes has been
quoted in his support to the current Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo
to run for the position of President in the next presidential elections
scheduled in 2022.
The Alan Peter Cayetano
led House of Representatives, through the legislative franchises committee last
July denied the Lopez- controlled ABS-CBN Corporation’s bid to have a fresh,
25-year franchise, after its franchise expired in May. The Lopez-controlled
network currently airs the Kapamilya Network channel and its news programs via
cable and online platforms.
