Malacanang to Leni's opinion : We don’t expect anything positive from her

Malacanang simply does not bother itself in all the media blitz the Vice President is giving or saying, for its always the same-non appreciation of everything the Duterte administration is doing.

The palace again shrugged Vice President Leni Robredo’s latest criticism of the Duterte government for what she perceived as “lacks a systemic pandemic response.”

Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque in an exclusive interview with CNN Philippines said Vice President Robredo is free to express her opinion.

“Of course, as the leader of the opposition, we don’t expect anything positive about this administration from her. We’ve accepted that. I think people have accepted that,” he said.

The latest Robredo attacks stemmed out from the remarks she said regarding her not calling for the resignation of Health Secretary Francisco Duque IIIsince she is of the opinion that there will be no significant change in the system which she has branded as a failure, will remain.

“Our problem is so much bigger than Secretary Duque. For me, the problem really is with the national government appearing to have no system in place,” she said.

Robredo said in the last six months “no cohesive plan” was crafted by the Duterte government to address the global pandemic brought about by COVID-19.

President Duterte’s call
