SALUTE to the brave soldiers of the Republic: PH Army honors soldiers of Jolo twin blast

 

The Republic is mourning the loss of it’s the eight soldiers who died in the August 24, terroristic bombing in Jolo, Sulu.

The Philippine Army(PA) is recognizing the heroism of the eight soldiers.

Staff Sgt. Louie T. Cuarteros, Staff Sgt. Manuelito M. Oria, Pvt. Omair Muksan, Pvt. Juvienjay T. Emlani, Pvt. John Ray E. Paler, Pvt. Aiub S. Sahid from the 21st Infantry Battalion and Pvt. John P. Agustin from 35th Infantry Battalion were killed after two consecutive bombing attacks in Barangay Walled City.

The government made sure their remains were sent to their respective provinces to be given funeral honors.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will provide burial assistance, command financial assistance and special financial assistance. Additionally, the families are entitled to receive capital, health, educational, and shelter assistance among others.

“The Philippine Army grieves over the death of these men. We honor their sacrifice in serving our country and protecting the people of Jolo, Sulu,” said Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana.

“To the bereaved families of our troops, we extend our deepest condolences. Rest assured that the Army is here to help you and is ready to extend the necessary assistance,” he added.
