Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni”
Robredo is sounding the alarm this early even if the call for a revolutionary
government came from a small group of pro-Duterte which is calling for a
revolutionary government.
In her
weekly radio show, the Vice President slammed such idea and has called such
call for a “rev gov” is illegal.
“Ang laking
kalokohan niyan, Ka Ely. Una, ano ba iyong gustong sabihin ng call for
revolutionary government? Ang gustong sabihin, ang hinihingi dito, itapon iyong
Konstitusyon natin. Diyan pa lang, ilegal na iyan,” she said.

The Vice President has
reminded the Duterte administration should focua all efforts in containing the
COVID-19 pandemic instead of ways to overthrow the government.
“Anti-Terror Bill, pagpasara ng
ABS[-CBN], ‘di ba, pag-amend ng Constitution, pagdeklara ng RevGov, federalism.
Parang… parang— Puwede ba?” she said.
Robredo is reacting to the poster
posted by the People’s Coalition for Revolutionary Government and Charter Change,
The Vice President said
it was ironic that the group invited Philippine National Police (PNP) chief
General Archie Gamboa to their recent meeting in Clark, Pampanga.
PNP Chief Gamboa
confirmed getting an invitation but snubbed it.
“Napaka-ironic, kasi
ito iyong mga tao na kailangang nagga-guard ng ating Konstitusyon, tapos
imbitado sa isang exercise na ganito,” Robredo said.
