PH Air Force team inspects initial batch of brand new S-70i Black Hawks

This is another good news for our rebuilding and modernizing Philippine Air Force (PAF).

It was announced that the PAF is already in the phase of conducting the Pre Delivery Inspections for the 1st batch of Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawk combat utility helicopters (CUH).

“A team from the Philippine Air Force’s Technical Inspection and Acceptance Committee (TIAC) is in Mielec, Poland after conducting the Pre Delivery Inspections for the 1st batch of Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawk combat utility helicopters,”according to MaxDefense Philippines facebook post.

As it is if the initial batch of helicopters “pass the inspections and tests, the next move will be preparing them for shipping,” according to MaxDefense Philippines.

“So far, 2 helicopters were involved, which will be shipped via commercial cargo vessel, thus the early inspection. 4 more helicopters will undergo inspection at a later date, and these helicopters will be delivered by air cargo,” MaxDefense said.

Two months ago, Republic of Poland Ambassador to the Philippines JarosÅ‚aw Szczepankiewicz was quoted in saying that the first six of 16 ordered S-70i Black Hawk helicopters for Philippine Air Force (PAF) are arriving before this year ends.

PAF, in an edition of its publication, has confirmed that 5 to 6 Blackhawk S70i combat utility helicopters are expected to be delivered before the year 2020 ends.
