Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary
Teodoro “Boy” Locsin, Jr. did not let the occasion past without dishing a swipe
against the “dilawans” political party- the once dominant Liberal Party(LP).
Jesse Robredo died eight years ago, he was then
the current Department of Interior and
Local Government (DILG) Secretary of the Benigno Aquino III administration.
On the
death anniversary of the former DILG Secretary, Locsin threw a
major shade at the Liberal Party(LP) allies of Robredo.

“And don’t ride a plane when you have
Liberal partymates out to get you,” Locsin said in his social media tweet.

The DFA Secretary made the comment in reaction
to a Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI) article “Robredo urges Filipinos to
emulate late husband amid pandemic: He never gave up.”
Then President and partymate Pnoy ordered an
investigation regarding the untimely death of his DILG secretary, it showed pilot
error and other safety lapses caused the plane crash that killed Robredo and
two pilots in 2012.
The investigation
showed the small plane was traveling from Cebu City to Robredo’s hometown of
Naga City, Camarines Sur when it encountered engine problems. Only Robredo’s
aide PNP Senior Inspector June Paulo Abrazado survived.
