Sagip party-list Rep.
Rodante Marcoleta marches on against
the Lopezes.
Apparently it is not
enough to junk the application franchise of the Lopez-controlled ABS-CBN
Corporation, there is a continuation of some sort against the atrocities of the
Lopezes.
The next stage is the
ejection of the Lopez family of their ABS-CBN headquarters situated at the
Mother Ignacia and JUSMAG (Joint U.S. Military Assistance Group) lots in Quezon
City.

“‘Yung titulo nila
(Lopezes) hindi naman totoo, pwede natin sila i-eject doon,” said Marcoleta, a week after he and
the other 69 lawmakers rejected the bid of the Kapamilya network of a new
legislative franchise.
Marcoleta boast about
that ABS-CBN officials had nothing to say when it was confronted with the issue
during the congressional hearings of th lack of documents to prove their
ownership of the ABS-CBN compound.
“Kahit isang salita,
natameme sa titulo. Banat na lng ng banat, hanap ng butas, pero titulo nila
ayaw magsalaita kahit isang letra,” said Marcoleta.
ABS-CBN during the congressional hearings of their application of a new
franchise failed to show the original copy of its title to the property. What the Kapamilya network showed Congress is a title to 42 square
meters lot which could not cover for the 44,000-square meter lot that their
buildings and transmitters were standing on.
“May nakanota na for reconstitution. Ibig mong
sabihin, since December 26, 1967, ‘di pa na-reconstitute titulo? Conclusion
lang dito, pinagawa lang sa Claro M. Recto ito,” said Marcoleta.
The Partylist solon said the government could
evict the Lopezes out of the property to facilitate the takeover of ABS-CBN’s
assets by its workers.
Cavite
representative Boying Remulla one of the 70 lawmakers who voted to rejected the
new franchise for ABS-CBN is of the opinion that the government should take
control of the JUSMAG property where the ABS-CBN Foundation building was
located.
“Bakit nila hawak
ang JUSMAG compound? Anong basis noon? Dapat sa bgobyerno yan,” said Remulla
