Jennylyn slams Roque: 70k COVID cases not alarming?!




Kapamilya homegrown talent Jennylyn Mercado is taking it a notch higher when she calls out Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque for his statement regarding the number of positive COVID-19 cases in the country.
Roque in one of his press briefer said that Malacanang is not alarmed even if the country already registered more than 70,000 mark of positive cases of COVID-19.


The statement prompted the Kapamilya celebrity to ask which number of COVID-19 infections which would alarm Malacanang.

The Kapamilya celebrity was reacting to a Manila Bulletin news article titled “Palace: 70k COVID-19 cases not alarming but should concern all.” Roque was quoted in the report: “I wouldn’t really say it’s something alarming but it should concern all of us.”
As of July 23, positive COVID-19 cases in the country was recorded at 74,390 with 1,871 deaths.



Jennylyn’s been active in social media.

Mercado publicly showed her support to her counterparts and the employees of the Kapamilya network, which got her a lot of praise as well as bashers who agrees with the decision of Congress.
In her previous social media post, she said she more than ready to be boycotted by those who disagrees with her opinion.
“I know what I’m risking the moment i speak up. Walang mangyayari if you always play it safe.

“I will be forever grateful to the advertisers that supported and supports me. The decision to speak up is something that i will never regret,” she said via Twitter.
