voted to grant the Lopez controlled ABS-CBN Corporation a new franchise.
“Kudos to the brave
11 who stood up for 11,000 Filipinos keeping their jobs and for press freedom 🙏🏽✊🏽” Angara tweeted.

An overwhelming 70 House panel members voted
to dent the grant of a new 25 year legislative franchise, this after 12 committee
day hearings were conducted.

With this scenario ABS-CBN will be permanently shut down since May 5,Congress held a 12 day hearing, for the issuance of a new franchise Congress was able to discussed a lot of issues pertaining to the TV networks like citizenship of the network’s chairman emeritus Gabby Lopez, alleged labor violations, tax-evasion, as well as alleged political bias, among others.
