Trillanes, stop sowing intrigues - Atty. Roque

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque is not letting the chance to pass to slam and rebuke former senator Antonio Trillanes IV.
Malacanang is accusing the former Magdalo solon for “sowing intrigue and division” after the latter slammed Atty. Roque for saying that Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo should offer solutions instead of criticizing the government’s coronavirus (Covid-19) response.

“We find it really unfortunate that Mr. Antonio Trillanes IV is sowing intrigue and division during this challenging time of Covid-19,” Presidential Spokesperson in a statement.

Roque said he will be ”more than willing” to forward Vice President Robredo’s solutions against Covid-19 to the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
It might be recalled that the Vice President earlier called out the government for a more organized effort in helping the people left stranded in Metro Manila due to the Covid-19 lockdown (locally stranded individuals)

“Let us not make an issue when there is none. My remarks that Vice President Ma. Leonor ‘Leni’ Robredo could have offered solutions is simply a response to a specific question by media, and we reiterate this to the Vice President: If she could offer solutions on how to address those who earlier tested negative for Covid-19 in Metro Manila but tested positive once they reached their respective provinces, I would be more than willing to submit her proposed solutions to the IATF,”  according to Atty. Roque.

Roque also asked the former senator and one of the fiercest critic of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte “not to twist my statement for the sake of political relevance and just do his share to alleviate the plight of our people amid this pandemic.”
