Sotto is very impressed how she eloquently explain her full support for the Anti-Terrorism bill which seeks to replace the toothless Human Security Act of 2007,saying it is needed to empower the government to prevent terror attacks. She also argued that the measure is made “to stop terrorists, not to make life inconvenient and uncomfortable for activists and those who voice out dissent.”

“Congresswoman Lucy Torres Gomez makes a very compelling thesis in her ig on why we should prioritize the fight vs terrorism. Beauty and brains!” Sotto tweeted, to which he also tagged fellow senator Panfilo Lacson.

Sotto and Lacson are the principal authors of the controversial measure which have been in constant attack from those critics and detractors of the current administration, despite countless explanation and assurances that safeguards are found in the bill which will not in any other way trample the constitutional protected civil rights of every Filipino.
