Earlier, he staunch critic of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte made statement that the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic will be more effective with the Vice President leading the IATF.
“Why does it have to be ‘lead’, why not a supporting role under General Galvez who waded in and instantly whipped the disorganized effort into working shape. I mean, if you’re sincere. What if she’s assisted by the same people who have made a mess of a fine person’s campaign?” Locsin said in response to an article on Trillanes’ remark.
Vice President Robredo has been helping out in the pandemic through the Office of the Vice President (OVP). Her camp has said she does not need a new government post to reach more people.
