Parang awa ninyo na....Trillanes urges DOTr to let jeepneys resume operations

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is urging the concerned government agencies to heed the call of the transport sector in their plea of allowing jeepney drivers and operators to ply the streets in general community quarantine areas to augment the much needed public transport for the numerous riding public.
The former lawmaker said the government should take note of the plight of the jeepney drivers and operators vis a vis the lack of mass public transportation  in the whole scheme of things taking into note the current COVID-19 pandemic.

“DOTr, parang awa nyo na sa mga commuters at drivers, ibalik nyo na ang mga jeepney!” Trillanes tweeted.

Trillanes is of the opinion that there is government push to ban the old jeepneys in lieu of the modern ones. He questions the identity of the company or corporation who will manufacture or distribute these modern jeepneys and supposedly will profit for such endeavor.
“I have been hearing that there is a deeper agenda in the banning of jeepneys,” he said.
“Sino kaya ang distributor/manufacturer nung mga modern jeeps duterte is pushing? Assuming mga 200k new jeeps multiplied by 100k patong per unit = 20 billion ang kita! Kaya pala!” he added.
