Netizens slams Villar's hypocrisy over Baguio Pine Tree cuttings

Hypocrisy at its best.

Netizens are in an uproar against Senator Cynthia Villar whom they have called two faced upon discovery that she heads the Senate Committee on Environment and Natural Resources.

The real estate developer owned by the Villars - Vista Residences are under fire for cutting down 54 mature pine trees in Baguio to give way to the construction of a new condo.

“Cynthia Villar said that a cleaner environment should be part of the new normal. I realize she meant to cut trees for a cleaner environment. It’s a massacre with permits. Despicable. Worse, Villar chairs the Senate committee on environment and natural resources,” a netizen said.

“How does a person like Cynthia Villar become the chairperson of the senate committee on ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES?? it doesn’t make sense to me. it will never make sense to me,” another one said.
