Who is afraid of
ABS-CBN? Certainly not Benguet caretaker and ACT-CIS Representative Eric Yap.
This as Yap urges his
fellow lawmakers in the House of Representatives to act in the best of their
abilities having in mind what is the utmost best for the country.
He said that as elected
lawmakers they should not allow their personal interests to take priority in
the normal scheme of things.

The call of Yap is in
connection with the ongoing ABS-CBN Corporation’s on going legislative
franchise application being heard in committee level.
“Mahal natin ang pagsisilbi pero mas kailangang
manaig ang katotohanan,” Yap said.
“Walang takot tayong magsasalita at magtatanong na
hindi iniintindi ang bwelta o ganti ng ibang tao, ABS-CBN man o anumang grupo,”
he added.
11 integrated schools in Benguet
Yap is seeking for the establishment of 11 integrated
schools in the province.
Among those included in the bills are Ballay
Elementary School and Kabayan Central School in Kabayan, Tocmo Elementary
School, Gumatdang Elementary School, and Virac Elementary School in Itogon,
Lengaoan elementary School in Buguias, Cagui-ing Elementary School in Atok,
Palidan Elementary School in Bakun, Tacadang Elementary School in Kibungan,
Kiwas Elementary School, in Tuba and Pontino Elementary School in Tublay.
Yap said the upgrading of the elementary schools in
integrated schools will result to more funds for new buildings as well as the
increase of number of teachers in the schools.
