The Lea Salonga story
continues, as some prominent personalities are now being vocal of what they
think about the broadway star cursing the Philippines in her viral post a few
days ago.
No less than former
Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile called Lea Salonga “bastos” for her recent
viral post.
It all started when Lea
posted in Facebook (now deleted), “Dear Pilipinas, p***** ina, ang hirap mong
mahalin.”

It really made a ripple
in the internet space eliciting a lot of bashing and criticisms to Lea, but
there are those who still supported her in her public rant.
A few days after her
outburst of a post she broke her silence and issued a statement through series
of tweets clarifying that she “never, NOT EVER cursed the Philippines.”
Lea also apologized “if
I hurt your feelings with my choice of words,” and said that it wasn’t her
intention.
The former Senate
President was being interviewed by hosts Admar Vilano and Jess Aranza on DZOR
Sonshine Radio, and was asked to react
on Lea Salonga’s emotional outburst cursing the country in the process.
Aranza first commented,
“Bastos siya,” which was seconded by Enrile.
“Bastos. Anong malay
naman niyang Lea Salonga na yan kung hindi ang kumanta lang,” he said.
