The Lopez controlled ABS-CBN
Corporation bid for a new legislative franchise is under way.
The House of Representatives
conducted its joint panel hearing and one of its guest is the current Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) Carlo Katigbak.
Katigbak categorically
denied the accusations in social media that the giant tv station is mustering
public sympathy and insists that the law was on their side.

Sinasabi po ng mga
bumabatikos sa amin, the law is the law and we agree, the law is the law and
under the law we are innocent unless proven guilty,” Katigbak said during his
opening remarks at the inquiry held by the House committees on legislative
franchises and on good government and public accountability.
“Up to now there is no court that has
determined we have broken any laws,” he said.
“Sabi po ng BIR, bayad ang aming
buwis.
Katigbak also gave an
update that the family of the 11,000 employees was suffering while the tv station
is shutdown.
said.
