We all know and love
Manny Pacquiao as the boxer, and if we are going to be asked who for use is the
best in this generation majority will say its boxer from General Santos.
One fact that cannot
be controverted is whenever there is a Pacquaio fight, crime rate in the whole country is low if not
zero, there is a de facto truce between the government and the insurgents, no
traffic in EDSA, and everybody is glued to their television watching the boxing
fight.
In an interview with the
legendary boxing trainer Nacho Beristain, he didi not take the statement of
Erik Morales lightly against Juan Manuel Marquez wherein the former belittled
the laters’ win over Manny Pacquaio in 2012.

Morales pointed out that although he lost to Manny Pacquiao
in 2006, he beat Pacquiao in their first meeting the year before.
"My career was
not defined by Pacquiao. I didn't need to beat him. I don't want to be too
arrogant but nobody gave me a boxing lesson," Morales said.
"Winning by
knockout is important, but for me it was better to dominate them, make them
suffer inside the ring."
But Nacho Beristain
would have none of it.
"What the guy
(Morales) left out is that (Pacquiao) fought with Juan Manuel forty-something
rounds and to be locked in a ring with the devil (for that long is impressive)
. . . Because (Pacquiao) is practically the devil inside the ring,"
Beristain said.
"The perfect
example of that is the beating he gave Erik Morales in the second fight."
The legendary boxing
trainer said Pacquiao has always been a formidable challenge for any boxer.
"It was terrible
facing Pacquiao in the ring . . . It was something terrible, because of the
punching power, because of the speed, because of many things,” Beristain said.
