Reward for anybody
who can kill or capture a “top commander” from the New People’s Army (NPA).
This was announced by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in his public
address, an informant he assures will be treated as witnesses and would receive
government protection.
"Ako ‘pag
nakapatay kayo ng commander o nakapagturo kayo saan natutulog ‘yung commander o
nakitulog --- makitulog ‘yan sila o nakitulog --- sabihin lang ninyo sa akin at
ano… P2 million ako basta ‘yung top commander," he said.

(If you kill or
point where a commander is, tell me and you will have P2 million, as long as
it's a top commander.)
President Duterte
also gave a promise to those who can kill communist leaders land and “new
identity” for their protection.
"Totohanan
kung sino ‘yung makaturo tapos doon sa army o pulis, o so ‘pag ikaw ang nagturo
at nahuli ‘yung commander na mabigat, may hati ka diyan sa pera pero alisin
kita sa lugar mo," he said.
(Anyone who can
inform the army or police, you get a share of the money but I will relocate
you.)
"Bigyan kita
lupa, doon ka na lang mag-ano kasi kung hindi papatayin ka talaga eh," he added.
(I will give you
land because they might kill you.)
