NBI responds to Angel Locsin's post on death threat

Kapamilya contract artist Angel Locsin has posted in her Twitter account a post wherein a person is offering a reward money for killing her and other ABS-CBN Kapamilya celebrities.

Ms. Locsin 35 years old mentioned the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in her post that shows the death threat from a long since-deactivated Twitter account.

The said Twitter account was only created this month and contains only tweets pertaining to its offer P200 million for the heads of the Lopez controlled ABS-CBN celebrities  and for blowing up its company compound.

The Kapamilya artists mentioned are Locsin, Kathryn Bernardo, Kim Chiu, Coco Martin, as well as ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak.

Its been publicly known that celebrities like Locsin, Bernardo, Chiu, and Martin are the outspoken ones in the #LabanKapamilya campaign, an online protest against the government closure of ABS-CBN.

The account also accused Locsin of being part of the New People's Army (NPA).

"Hello, NBI? Beke nemen po," Locsin captioned the screenshot.

NBI’s reply to Locsin’s post

"If Angel Locsin and other artists receive threats of physical harm or other means sent thru the social media and they feel these threats are serious, they have all the right to seek the assistance of the NBI so their concerns can be appropriately addressed."

There is no report whether Locsin formally filed a complaint against the person who issued the death threat via Twitter or if she has sought assistance from the NBI or from the Philippine National Police (PNP).
