One of the most vocal and outspoken supporter
and defender of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, since the campaign trail of 2016
and up to now is former Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Margaux “Mocha” Uson.
The decision of the National
Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to issue a cease and desist order (CDO)
which forced the Lopez owned ABS-CBN to shutdown last Tuesday night brought a
lot of backlash to the Chief Executive putting all the blame to him why the
television giant was shut down.
Uson said Congress and not President Duterte
should be held accountable for the predicament that befell the television
giant.

Uson
agreed with the reasoning expoused by Senate Presdient Vicente “Tito” Sotto
that President Duterte should not be blamed for the closure of the Lopez owned network.
Senate
President Sotto was quoted earlier giving comment that the franchise renewal
bills of the network have been pending at the House of Representatives since
2014, long before Duterte was elected president.
“Ganun talaga Tito Sen. Lahat nalang gusto nila isisi sa Pangulo.
Kahit ang tagal na hindi nila inasikaso yan,” Uson tweeted.
