ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Eric Yap in an exclusive interview with the ANC’s “Headstart”
reveals that he has a personal reason for his active participation in the ABS-CBN
investigation for the alleged violations committed by the Lopez controlled
corporation.
One such incident concerns his friend presidential
son Paolo Duterte who is the current representative of Davao city
representative.
Yap recalled when former Bureau of Customs broker Mark Taguba
linked Duterte to the “Davao Group” allegedly involved in smuggling.

Taguba eventually cleared
the presidential son of any wrongdoing, explaining the news linking Paolo
Duterte to any smuggling activity or its
alleged ties with a certain “Davao Group” was only hearsay.
Yap claims the Lopez
controlled media conglomerate did not followed up on Taguba’s claims in clearing
the name of the presidential son.
Sinabi raw drug lord. And then yung tao sa
kasama dito,” he said.
The solon claims the absence
of any report clearing Paolo Duterte’s in any illegal smuggling activities
leaves to a conclusion that indeed he is involved in doing so,
A few days back Yap, Paolo
Duterte together with Cavite Rep. Abraham Tolentino, filed House Resolution 853
to investigate the Lopez controlled ABS-CBN corporation over alleged violations
of its legislative franchise.
