ABS-CBN Corporation Chief
Executive Officer (CEO) Carlo Katigbak attended the House of Representatives committee hearing on its
franchise application
regarding the legislative franchise of the Lopez controlled corporation, and he
made clear that they are not creating the scenario that they are the victim just
to gain much needed from the public.
said Katigbak said in the House of Representatives.
“Hindi po kami nagpapaawa. Umaapila

Katigbak relates that
the ABS-CBN shutdown last May 5 was very painful considering that they relied
in the promise of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) that they
will still be broadcasting on a provisional authority pending the application
of the renewal of their franchise.
pandemya,” said Katigbak.
“Nasa 70 million po ang nanonood sa ABS-CBN
bawat linggo.
