Failon slams Cayetano over ABS-CBN's provisional franchise : ‘Yan ang klaro na hindi klaro!

ABS-CBN Veteran News anchor and former congressman Ted Failon slams House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano for the handling of the temporary 5 month provisional franchise for the Lopez controlled ABS-CBN Corporation.

Failon cannot hide his disappointment over the Cayetano authored House Bill 6732, which was supposed to allow ABS-CBN to open up to end of October while the House of Representatives tackled its 25-year franchise renewal, which Cayetano refused to guarantee would pass before Congress adjourned on June 3.

“Yan ang klaro Speaker? Yan ang klaro na hindi pa klaro,” said Failon in a mocking tone while interviewing Speaker Cayetano on May 18, or five days sending ABS-CBN supporters a lifeline by railroading the passage of HB 6732 on second reading.

“t’s a roller coaster ride. Kung ikaw po ay nagtatrabaho sa network o umaasa sa news nito o natulungan nito, masyadong mataas po ang mountains at mababa ang valley. Kung ikaw naman po ay pumuprotesta na ayaw, ganoon din. So nagagalit both sides pero ang proseso natin ay we will discuss these issues, we will get a consensus and vote on it,” said Cayetano.
“I wanted to postpone that because there is a national health crisis and we want to be one and help each other. Pero hindi po natin matanggal Ted eh. Halos nagmumurahan na on Facebook, nagtatawagan na ng pangalan. But ang apela ko sa lahat whether pro or anti, let’s discuss it intelligently and let’s try to come up with a solution that’s good for our people,” he added.
