"Foreign nationals who are here in the country are expected to follow Philippine laws, especially in these special times wherein public health and safety is at risk. There is no exemption, whether you are living in a posh village, or in a slum area, you must obey the law,” Morente said in a statement.

The scenario was policemen accosted the house help of Parra for not wearing a mask while watering the plants n the yard. In Makati there is a city ordinance which penalizes anyone who will not wear a mask.

Parra later went out of his residence and confronted the authorities.

One video showed that the policemen were calmly having a conversation with the Spanish national, the latter lost his cool and cursed at the policemen. Another video showed that the police tackled the burly foreigner to the ground.

“Aliens who disrespect symbols of our country and persons of authority are not welcome in the Philippines. Their sojourn here is a privilege, not a right.

It is in the same manner that our kababayan who are living and working abroad respect the laws of their host country,” Morente stated
The BI Commissioner added that the BI's intelligence division also found out that Parra has failed to extend and has already overstayed his visa.
